This page explains what personal data is handled when you visit katarinablom.com or send a booking request, why, and what your rights are.
Data controller
Katarina Blom is the data controller. Send questions about personal data to bookings@katarinablom.com.
The booking form
When you send a request we handle the details you enter: name, email address, organisation, preferred date, format, number of attendees and what you write about the event.
We use them to answer your request, send a quote and plan a possible engagement. The legal basis is taking steps before entering into a contract with you or your organisation, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
The request is sent as an email to our inbox, and you receive an automatic confirmation at the address you gave. We keep the request for as long as the conversation needs it. If it leads to an engagement, we keep it for as long as the contract and accounting rules require. Otherwise we delete it no later than 24 months after our last contact.
Cookies and browser storage
- Google Ads – cookies that measure whether an ad led to a booking request. Only used if you accept in the cookie banner.
- kb-consent – remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again. Stored in your browser and never sent to us.
- kb-lang – remembers whether you chose Swedish or English. Stored in your browser and never sent to us.
You can change your choice at any time via or in the footer. If you decline, Google Ads sets no cookies, but Google may receive anonymous cookieless signals used to estimate the number of requests.
Services we use
Some data, such as your IP address, is processed by providers that help us run the site:
- Cloudflare – hosts the site and receives the form.
- Resend – sends the request and the confirmation by email.
- Google – email inbox (Google Workspace), fonts (Google Fonts) and, if you accept, ad measurement (Google Ads).
- YouTube – the TEDx video loads from YouTube (without tracking cookies) only when you click it.
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, for example in the USA. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have data deleted, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a machine-readable format. Contact bookings@katarinablom.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
